We are Brío
Brío is a Los Angeles–based home ceramics studio created by Viv, an Angelino born and raised in Wilmington, CA. Named after the word brío — meaning spark, spirit, energy, and liveliness — the studio is rooted in playful creativity and expressive design.
Every piece is handmade in small batches and crafted as a true 1-of-1, with its own personality, imperfections, and charm. No two pieces are exactly alike, making each creation feel personal, collectible, and uniquely yours.
Inspired by vintage aesthetics, bold color, and the joy of everyday objects, Brío exists to bring a little more spark into daily routines ♡
Who is Viv?
I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember, constantly experimenting with different mediums and ways to create. Over the years, I fell in love with ceramics — the tactile process, the grounding nature of clay, and the connection it gave me to my Mexican heritage and roots.
I’ve been working with ceramics for 4 years, starting with Etsy drops, art markets, and pieces made for friends and family while sharing the journey online. After taking a step back from posting, I focused on refining my style and building a brand that truly felt like me. That vision became Brío.
I knew I wanted a name that felt vibrant, playful, and connected to my culture. “Brío,” meaning spark or spirit, perfectly captured the energy behind my work.
My goal is simple: to bring more joy, color, and personality back into everyday life through handmade ceramics.
